WATI pricing in 2026: the short answer

WATI has three principal business subscription tiers—Growth, Pro and Business—but the subscription alone is not your total WhatsApp cost. A complete budget also accounts for chargeable messaging, user seats, automation triggers and optional add-ons.

Before buying WATI for WhatsApp Business automation in India, separate these costs. A low subscription can become unsuitable if the business sends large volumes of campaign templates or repeatedly exceeds its chatbot-trigger allowance. Conversely, a larger team may need paid features that make Pro or Business more appropriate than a cheaper tier.

WATI's public pricing page can display different currencies and monthly or annual billing. Because these options can change, this guide does not present a misleading single fixed rupee price. Check the official WATI pricing page for the plan quote available to your account on the purchase date.

Allowances are summarized from WATI's official pricing comparison, viewed October 20, 2026. These are vendor-published limits, not independently tested guarantees. WATI may change the plans, entitlements and regional availability at any time.

Growth: for getting started with an official WhatsApp inbox

Growth targets businesses wanting the basics: a shared messaging environment, campaigns, standard lead capture and predefined automations. The pricing page lists three included users, 1,000 monthly automation triggers and selected integrations. If the team regularly needs more chat workflows, an included allowance can become a limiting factor.

Pro: for more complex follow-up and sales operations

Pro expands included users and automation capacity. Public documentation describes advanced chatbots, forms, retargeting, more integrations, limited webhooks and deeper campaign insights. WATI's Astra AI Agent is described as an optional separately priced add-on, not a free replacement for staff.

Business: for larger teams and higher message volume

Business is positioned for multiple numbers, advanced permissions, operational controls and greater API capacity. Its additional user pricing, number limits and discounted message terms deserve an itemized quote, because “enterprise-ready” does not mean unlimited services at no charge.

WhatsApp API message charges in October 2026

Platform subscription and Meta/WhatsApp message usage are different line items. WATI's support center now describes a model where marketing, utility and authentication template messages can attract applicable charges. It also describes service-message changes that took effect on October 1, 2026 for WhatsApp Business Platform (API) usage.

Marketing templates

Approved promotional messages can incur the applicable destination-market marketing rates. Customers should have opted in, and usage must follow WhatsApp's current rules.

Utility and authentication templates

Transactional and authentication templates use separate categories and rates. Under WATI's October 2026 documentation, utility templates within an open customer-service window are billable again.

Service replies in the customer-service window

WATI states that certain API-based free-form service replies became chargeable per message from October 1, 2026, subject to applicable free allowances and the market rate. Do not assume every API reply is always free.

Click-to-WhatsApp advertisement entry point

WATI describes a seven-day free entry-point window for supported click-to-message interactions beginning September 28, 2026. Eligibility conditions and other usage fees still matter; check your provider's explanation rather than applying the rule to unrelated conversations.

Exact rates depend on destination, message type and effective date. To check account-specific WATI rates, WATI instructs customers to open Wallet → Pricing Overview. These API changes do not mean the normal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business mobile apps have the same API billing model.

How to calculate WATI's real monthly cost

Use an itemized estimate rather than focusing only on “per month” advertised on a landing page:

Estimated monthly WATI cost = subscription + additional seats + optional add-ons + chargeable WhatsApp messages + excess automation/usage charges (if applicable) + taxes.

For example, a business using WATI for a campaign might need to budget for promotional template volume, message recipient countries and extra users. A support-heavy business may instead focus on the number of service replies and included trigger allowances. A consultant mostly using manual inbound conversations may need fewer campaign capabilities than a retailer sending opted-in product launches.

  1. Write down your expected monthly marketing, utility, authentication and service-message counts separately.
  2. Choose the currency and monthly or annual plan you would actually pay for.
  3. Count human seats, WhatsApp numbers, automation triggers, integrations and API requirements.
  4. Look for AI agent, chatbot, CRM connector and implementation add-ons.
  5. Ask WATI for the relevant market rate card and compare it against your estimates.
  6. Test the system's customer experience and opt-out behavior before running large campaigns.

Never assume that an older 2024 or 2025 pricing screenshot still reflects current message rules. User-facing rate cards and billing terms should control purchase decisions.

When should you choose Growth, Pro or Business?

Local shop handling basic enquiries

If one team uses official WhatsApp chat, simple tags, standard campaigns and infrequent automation, Growth is the logical starting point to evaluate. Verify three included seats and the trigger quota are sufficient.

Growing service company with multiple lead stages

If leads need branching questions, CRM syncing and role-based follow-up, compare Pro with the lower plan. Measure actual triggers and the capabilities available without additional AI add-ons.

Business with multiple numbers and high volume

If several departments share responsibility and you need advanced assignment rules, security controls or high API volume, obtain a Business quote with all add-ons and number charges disclosed.

WATI vs alternative WhatsApp automation approaches

WATI should not be judged solely by its sticker price. Other vendors focus on different workflows. Where GetClosifi fits: Yug, GetClosifi's AI Sales Employee, focuses on customer enquiries, approved catalogue context, lead qualification and human-ready follow-ups across supported business-owned messaging channels. It should not be presented as a substitute for every WATI broadcast or campaign-management feature. GetClosifi customers must authorize and connect their own channels; supported workflows depend on permissions and onboarding.

Five mistakes to avoid before buying WATI

Only checking subscription price: message charges may dominate in high-volume campaigns. Ignoring trigger quotas: a flow can invoke many sessions. Assuming advanced AI is included: WATI lists a separately priced Astra agent add-on. Using an outdated messaging rate: check the current country/category rate card. Moving a phone number without a plan: confirm account connection, templates, export and client conversation continuity before migrating to another service.
