For a sideways photo with normal-looking text, use Rotate Image rather than a mirror flip.
Quick steps
Open the image you want to mirror.
Pick horizontal, vertical or both directions.
Make sure text and logos face the way you intended, then save the PNG.
A few useful details
A horizontal flip swaps left and right. A vertical flip swaps top and bottom. Choose the direction that matches what you need, then inspect the preview before saving.
Be careful with writing. A horizontal flip reverses letters, numbers and logos along with everything else. That can be useful for a mirrored selfie, but it may be wrong for product labels or signs.
The download keeps the original dimensions and is saved as PNG. Existing transparency is retained. The tool flips the whole image; it does not isolate one person or object.

Keep your original when experimenting. Flipping twice in the same direction returns the original orientation.
A horizontal flip is the familiar mirror effect. It can change which way a face or object points in a design. It also reverses writing, labels and logos, so inspect those areas before using a mirrored image in a catalogue or public graphic.
A vertical flip reflects the complete picture across a horizontal line. It is not the same operation as a quarter turn. If the source merely appears sideways, use Rotate Image instead of trying different reflections until the orientation happens to look plausible.
Applying horizontal and vertical flips together gives the same final orientation as a 180° rotation. The pixel dimensions stay unchanged in this tool. Try the preview when you are unsure, and compare it with a clear reference such as readable text or the intended subject direction.
Mirroring can change more than appearance. Directional signs, diagrams, product markings or writing may become misleading. The tool does not understand which parts should remain unchanged. Use a normal original when accurate left-right relationships are important.

Real mirrored examples. Flipping does not remove a background or change the file dimensions.
A horizontal flip reverses the image across its vertical axis. Lettering would also appear mirrored.

Not here. The reflection applies to the complete image, including any text.
Flip in the same direction again, or start from the original. Keep the original when you are experimenting.
It returns the image to the same orientation. Keeping the original is still the simplest way to start again.
Yes. The reflection keeps the decoded width and height; the PNG’s file size may differ from the source.
